Registration for tryouts begins october 1st

Girls Travel Teams

Being a player on a travel team is a significant commitment that includes tryouts, practices, travel for tournaments, and financial investment.

Season: November - June

Practice Sites: Twice per week at UCSB, Bishop Diego HS, Santa Barbara City College, Providence HS, Goleta Boys & Girls Club

Tournaments:

NorCal Winter Classic (WCVBA) - January 18-20

Presidents Day Showdown (WCVBA) - February 15-17

Red Rock Rave (USAV/SCVA)

***U14, U15, U16 - April 19-21Las Vegas, NV

***U13 - April 25-27 - Las Vegas, NV

West Coast Cup (JVA) - May 24-26 - Long Beach, CA

Festival (JVA/AAU) -  Phoenix, AZ

***U13 - June 22-25

***U14, U15, U16 - June 26-29

*Participation in the SCVA tournament schedule may be added on a team-by-team basis.

*Teams will participate in Central Coast Volleyball Association events this season. 

Tryouts: 

October 27th

13U - Bishop Diego HS - 10:00am-12:00pm

14U - Bishop Diego HS - 1:00pm-3:00pm

 

November 3rd

15U, 16U, 17U, & 18U -  (Times & Location TBD)

*Schedules per Travel Team will be set prior to the start of each season with the associated cost for participation. Hotel accommodations and travel costs are not covered by SBVC tuition.

Girls non-Travel Teams

Non-travel teams give players the opportunity to receive training, without the additional travel schedule.

Practice: Twice per week at UCSB, Bishop Diego, or Santa Barbara City College

Tournaments: Central Coast Volleyball Association events.

*If players would like to participate in multi-day events, the Club will work to assemble a team at an additional cost per player.

Coaching Staff: Andrea Dowdy, Meaghan Wheeler, Keslie Brown, Rae Gulland, Todd Shea, Ed Gover, Jacob Miller, Gaby Ordonez, Loren Ayers, and Dillan Bennett.

 

Girls Age Definitions

18U  

Players who were born on or after July 1, 2006 (including high school graduates eligible based on the above paragraph)

Players who were born on or after July 1, 2005 and a high school student in the twelfth (12th) grade or below during some part of the current academic year are eligible to compete on 18 and under teams.

 

17U

Players who were born on or after July 1, 2007

 Players who were born on or after July 1, 2006 (18 years or younger) who shall neither have completed nor are in a grade higher than the eleventh grade (11th) during the current academic year will be allowed to participate in the 17 and under age division.

 

16U

Players who were born on or after July 1, 2008

15U

Players who were born on or after July 1, 2009

14U

Players who were born on or after July 1, 2010

13U

Players who were born on or after July 1, 2011
